The CEO Message

The CEO, Prof Idle stated the objective of FCDC as organisation representing the TEN Frontier Counties is to tackle common sectoral challenges facing these Counties which share similar challenges such as prolong drought, insecurities, perennial inter-community conflicts as well as infrastructural challenges which resulted underdevelopment over the years. Regional Intra-Health Initiative-Africa ( RIHI-AFRICA) as registered nonprofit humanitarian healthcare organisation had been clustered to support eight out of the 10 FCDC Counties by the National NGO Coordination board, the eight Counties are ( Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, Lamu, Tana River, Isiolo, Samburu and Marsabit respectively).

The RIHI-AFRICA Team led by the CEO, Dr Mahat and Programme Coordinator Mr Hassan Ali had assured the FCDC of repackaging its health component and tailor it to the existing comnon sectoral gaps within the Frontier Counties to address some of the healthcare challenges and gaps already identified by the FCDC Team on the ground! Lastly the meeting has agreed on closer collaboration including developing consortium for funding proposals for major health problems such as Cancer and drug addiction menace in these Counties.
