The core essence of blood donation lies in the act of saving lives. During a blood drive event held on February 17, 2024, at Ifo Refugee Camp, we noted the following key achievements:Â

- Screening 68 individuals resulted in 41 successful donations, although some issues with low hemoglobin were noted.
- A remarkable milestone was reached with 41 units of blood donated, setting new records.
- The initiative nurtured strong relationships and trust among host communities, refugees, and partner organizations.
- It revealed the presence of altruistic volunteers within the refugee community, cultivating a supportive atmosphere.
- The collaboration between KRCS & RIHI-Africa efficiently orchestrated the groundwork and mobilization of young individuals and community members for voluntary blood donation.
- Volunteers have been enlisted and are prepared to contribute to future blood drives organized by these entities.
- The event surpassed expectations, achieving resounding success, thanks to the organizers.
- Hundreds were educated on the importance of blood donations, both in terms of health and humanitarian impact.
